Marinated lamb chop & Mashed Potato with gravy

Looks so tempting...grrr
So, this will be my first post :)
Ingredients for mashed potatoes:

1) 1 kg white boiling potatoes, peeled and quartered (I used US potato which I bought at Jusco)
2) Pinch of salt
3) 100 g unsalted butter (I used Buttercup)
4) 1/2 cup sour cream (i didnt used...I dont have stock)
5) 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

Cook the potatoes in a large pot of boiling water until very tender (mine is about 1 hour). Meanwhile, heat the butter in a small saucepan. Remove from heat. Then, drain the potatoes and mashed in the bowl. Slowly add the melted butter, sour cream, 2 teaspoon of salt and pepper. Mix well until completely smooth. Serve with gravy on the side.

Ingredients for Gravy:

1) 100 g unsalted butter (I used Buttercup)
2) 2 yellow onions, diced
3) 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
4) 1 teaspoon salt
5) 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
6) 2 cups chicken stock (I used chicken stock cube by Knorr)
7) 1 tablespoon heavy cream (optional...so I didnt used)

Heat the pan, cook the butter and onions until the onions are lightly brown. Sprinkle flour, salt & pepper. Make sure you are using a whisk to mix all the ingredients. Cook for about 3 minutes. Then, add chicken stock cube plus 2 cups of plain water. Cook until the gravy thickened. Add the cream if desired and serve.

*For the lamb chop, I drizzle olive oil, salt & pepper, steak seasoning by McCormick, Paprika, pinch of Cumin and pinch of thyme herbs. Marinate the lamb for about 1-2 hours. Then just grilled the chops on the pan without any oil okay for 15 minutes or until ready per side.

There is really no harm in trying.

Thats all from me.

Happy trying dear!
